Strengthened by experience, powered by people: welcoming Kate as Enroly’s new Managing Director

After guiding Enroly through its next chapter from the Ecctis side of the acquisition, Kate Admasu now takes the helm as our new Managing Director: bringing over 15 years of senior leadership experience and a passion for people, performance and purpose.

“I got to know the Enroly business and people really well during the acquisition process. I was very excited about the future potential for the business, so when the opportunity to take on the MD role and be a more direct part of the Enroly journey came up, I jumped at it.”

From CFO to MD, clarity, structure and growth

Kate joins Enroly from Ecctis, where she led financial strategy and operations as Chief Financial Officer. Her experience driving performance through financial clarity, robust strategic planning and operational leadership will be vital as Enroly continues to scale.

“Enroly is at a key stage in its development as it pivots from being a start-up to a more professional, corporate business. My goal is to give Enroly the support, investment and structure it needs to continue its growth, without losing its culture and entrepreneurial edge.”

Her time at Ecctis also gave her a strong grounding in the higher education sector,  knowledge she’s keen to build on. “It’s a sector full of challenges, but also huge opportunities. I’m lucky to still be backed by a great existing team at Ecctis who continue to support me as I focus on Enroly.”

A fast-paced, people-first culture

Since stepping into the role, one thing has stood out above everything else: the people.

“I have honestly never worked with such a collection of brilliant, talented and passionate people as the team that Enroly has built. It’s a privilege to now be a part of that and work together to drive the future success of the business.”

That culture,  and the energy that comes with it, has been the most energising part of her first weeks. “The cutting-edge tech, the pace, the excitement… Enroly is never dull. And the team are also very good at having fun, despite how hard they work!”

Looking ahead: investment, insight and innovation

Kate’s focus for the months ahead is clear: investing in the business and its people to build on what’s already been achieved.

“My priority is to make sure we’re giving the business the investment it needs to capitalise on its success and continue to scale, and putting our people in a position to win.”

She also sees Enroly’s role evolving further at the heart of the sector, helping to connect universities, students and agents with the insights they need to make the right decisions. “Everything we’re developing is about improving the student admissions and recruitment experience for everyone involved.”

And for what’s next? “There are so many great opportunities for us to get involved in that the challenge will be deciding which to pursue first. That’s going to be a key focus for myself and the leadership team over the next 12 months.”

A final fun fact 🍷

Outside work, Kate holds a professional qualification in wine (WSET Level 2), a fitting skill for someone who knows a thing or two about balance, structure and finish.
