Here are some of our tips and tricks…

Transcription clarity
We run two transcription engines in parallel to ensure we capture what the student said, not how they said it. This mitigates the risk of unconscious bias linked to accent, fluency, or nervousness.

Blind where it counts
No personally identifying factors like nationality, age, or background are used in the initial assessment. This helps make the process as objective and fair as possible.

Built for confidence and control

Every assessment is carried out by our expert team, working to your institution’s policies, criteria, and pass marks.

Here’s what that means in practice:

  • You set the standards: Universities define their own scoring thresholds. Our role is simply to apply them consistently and transparently.
  • You make the final call: We provide evidence-based recommendations, but every pass/fail decision ultimately sits with your team.
  • Data proves it: From March to July, around 20% of all interview outcomes were fails (a huge majority of students pass first time). But out of all interview fails in that period, 74% were down to students not meeting the university-set score thresholds.
