How we train and work with agents on CAS Shield

The challenge

Over 5,000 global education agents use Enroly CAS Shield to support their students on their journey to study in the UK. 

Although universities are Enroly’s clients, agents are hugely important users of the platform with their own special user type. When we start working with a new university, we onboard all its agents as part of the process. 

The platform allows agents to view their students in one place, communicate directly with students and universities, and collaborate transparently during CAS, visa and arrival.

The process of training Abroad Education Consultants (AEC) was similar to many others, but as always, posed a unique set of challenges and opportunities.

One challenge was AEC’s fast-growing team. Although CAS Shield is usually a much easier solution for onboarding new staff than existing processes, it remains important the team is completely up to speed. With multiple intakes each year becoming the norm, onboarding new staff members quickly is more important than ever.

The solution

We have a dedicated account manager to look after our agent partners to ensure they get the most out of the Enroly CAS Shield system.

Following a deep dive with the AEC team about their use of the platform, we expanded access to more users and rolled out additional specialist training over video calls to ensure every user felt confident.

There’s no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to our agent training, that’s why we work closely to understand each agency’s requirements and deliver training to suit all needs, from individual sessions to larger team training sessions.

Training can zoom into specific regions, or be university-specific during the onboarding process. We also organise Pre-and-post training reviews to give agents all the tools they need, ensure that all team members have access to the system, and, if necessary, set up bespoke ‘offices’ for agents to manage access and increase efficiency.
